This past week, I had the wonderful opportunity to take a tour of the William Watson Lodge in Kananaskis Country. I feel so blessed that this amazing landscape is in my backyard.
The lodge has a campground that is open year round. It was created specially for seniors and people with disabilities to be able to enjoy the beautiful landscape.
I had a high adrenaline moment when we came across a grizzly bear just by the side of the road. He/she was almost close enough to touch! It was scary and exciting at the same time.
For safety we took a super quick picture and went on our way. I am not one to mess with wildlife! We also saw a handful of deer and mountain sheep.
It was the perfect backdrop to take some pictures. Trivia knowledge of the day: The mountains behind me are Mt. Indefatigable and Mt. Invincible. They were named after battleships that sunk in the battle of Jutland during WW1.
I needed a few layers to keep warm because it is much colder in the mountains than in the city; except for some wind, overall the weather was quite nice.
I love fall for all the beautiful layering, coats, scarves and boots but not for the fact that it also means "WINTER IS COMING!"
Fall Essential 1 - Sweater
I wore this beautiful geometric print sweater with fringe and I just love it. I've only had it for a few weeks and I've had to stop myself from wearing it everyday!
It is so easy to dress up or down and it is very warm. I can't wait to wear it a million different ways.
Fall Essential 2 - Tank Tops
I paired it with a simple red striped tank top. You can never have enough tank tops. They are perfect for layering in fall and can be worn year round.
Whenever I find one I like that fits perfectly, I just buy them in all available colours. It is even better when I get them on sale!
Fall Essential 3 - Black Leggings
Of course leggings are on this list! How else will you wear your ankle boots, shooties and fall dresses and still stay warm. Here I am wearing skinny pants with a faux leather stripe detail.
Fall essential 4 - Ankle Boots
One of the reasons we all love fall the are the boots. These ankle leather boots are so versatile and I have worn these every cold day this fall.
