The Non-Skinny Jeans

The Non-Skinny Jeans

With the trend of the skinny jeans seeming like it's lasting forever, I went jeans shopping and remembered I used to love boot-cuts.

I decided to try other styles and found the perfect straight-leg jeans at Reitmans. The length of their petite line fits my 5'2 height. The fabric is super comfortable and fits perfect in the right places.

As I wrote this post, I realized a number of my pants and jeans are from Reitmans because I don't have to tailor the length or waist, it just fits! FYI Reitmans has a jeans sale on right now (you are welcome!!)

As usual no outfit is complete without amazing accessories. I paired the jeans with a peplum top and a layered necklace I have had for a while. With a pair of Chinese Laundry stacked heel sandals I got on sale recently at The Shoe Company and a bag from Aldo (also a few years old)

I also realized that I am not ready for fall at all! Summer needs to stay a little longer. I did a closet clean out last spring and donated my fall and winter jackets.

I only had some spring jackets on hand. It worked great but it was just not as warm as I would have liked. Now I have an excuse to go shopping for new fall and winter coats!

Take a little risk to try something different, you just might be pleasantly surprised.

No matter what you wear, remember to always wear confidence on your sleeves!
